The Picnic Process
Booking & Design
Shortly after you have submitted an inquiry form here, designer Erin will reach out to get the magic started! We will help you choose the perfect location, color scheme, design style, theme, and picnic add-ons for your event. You are invited to be as involved (or not involved) in this part as you like. Caravan will help you make arrangements for food and any other accommodations you might need for your special day.
Day Of
On the day of your event, you need only to show up and enjoy the celebration! If you choose to have your picnic at one of our recommended venues, your dream picnic will be set up at the time of your arrival. If you have ordered food, it will be plated and ready to eat; if you have brought your own food, serveware will be in place and food can either be plated by you or by us. We will bid you adieu while you enjoy your food, company, and fresh air! If you have opted for a backyard picnic, we will arrive early to be set up when your party is ready to start. As your party wraps up, you’ll simply send us a text and leave at your convenience– we’ll handle the rest.
Payment
Caravan accepts checks or card payments. 50% of payment (excluding food or fresh floral arrangements) will be required as a non-refundable deposit to secure your time and date; the remainder will be due 48 hours prior to your event. An invoice for any food or fresh flowers ordered through Caravan will be sent via email after the event.

Caravan will deliver your picnic straight to you. We’ll turn your front/backyard or property into a magazine-worthy picnic spread. This means all the convenience of a party at home with none of the set-up or clean-up!

Caravan cannot, at this time, set up picnics in public parks. This is due to current COVID-19 restrictions put in place by the Austin Parks Department.
